In this video, we tell you how we cut our energy bill in half. Energy costs have risen between 50 and 100 percent in the past 12 months, and (in some areas) more increases are coming soon. In the US, 1 in 6 families are 60 days or more late in paying their utility bill. The impact has left some families, literally, trying to figure out how to keep the lights on.
In July, we got a bill for over $300, we decided it was time to have a show-down with energy consumption and lower our bill. In about six weeks, we lowered our electric usage by 70% and our bill by 66%.
How did we do it? We started with several easy changes and when we saw results, we kept adding more strategies to our daily energy habits.

Grow food from kitchen scraps.
Damping off is caused by a fungus or mold that thrive in cool, wet conditions and is common in young seedlings. It can cause roots to rot, and can affect a wide variety of vegetables and flowers.
Some tips to prevent this from happening:
-Sterilize all used pots
-Use new potting mix and don’t reuse old mix or garden soil/compost
-Make sure you are working with clean tools
-Use pots with good drainage so your soil remains moist and not too wet

Fast and easy healthy meals you can make at home. Lots of texture and super nutrition in a single bowl.
Ingredients
1 Cup Uncooked Bulgar
1 1/2 Cups Milk
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 1/2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
3/4 Tsp Dijon Mustard
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Pepper
4 Cips kale
1 Cup Shredded Chicken
1/2 Cup Asian or other Pear (Can use sliced apple as well)
2 oz Manchego Cheese
* Add 3 Cups soaked Bulgar
* Can garnish with shaved coconut if desired.
