Most people aren't aware that it has become common in plea bargaining to dismiss stolen gun charges. So in order to make a deal, they dismiss the 'stolen gun' charge and criminals are put back on the streets to kill again. My guess is that the very same people trying to take away our 2nd amendment right to protect ourselves with a gun, are the ones dismissing the stolen gun laws. Criminals remain heavily armed.
