An ultimate dictator is about to take to the world stage. He will be the enemy of Christ, AND of all who follow Him.
Who is he?
Anti-christ means against - or it can mean, instead of - Christ. The antichrist is a deceiver - a liar, a master of deception. 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
The Bible tells us of how the last days this figure, THE Antichrist, will speak lies.
It seems like DECEPTION is rampant. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Many are falling for all kinds of apostasy.
The Antichrist will be a powerful leader: Revelation tells how he will rule the world government for 42 months. The Antichrist will exalt himself - above all that is called God - he will be full of pride. Revelation 13:5-6 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
The Antichrist will gain political power and spiritual authority over every nation on earth. Really, it’s the ultimate ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. In Revelation 13:7, John writes, And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
As a political or military leader, the Antichrist will use his power to persecute Christians, and promote his own agenda. Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
The spirit of the Antichrist is at work. We see FALSE RELIGION on the rise. Only the remnant whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life are wise enough to not worship him.
The Antichrist will use his power to gain mastery over the economy of the world. Revelation 13:15-18 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name... 666.
A new MONEY SYSTEM is being proposed, for a form of digital money that can be completely under the control of the state. The ultimate object of the Antichrist’s control system is that he will cause chaos and destruction on a global scale.
The Antichrist will be a charming, crafty politician, who will muster others to join his cause. He will have great power and influence. It says that the Antichrist will gain the allegiance of other kings and form a global alliance.
The Antichrist will make war with the Lamb. The people of God. Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
The Antichrist will be thrown into the lake of fire and will be punished for eternity. Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
I believe that the spirit of Antichrist is emerging. Let us be on guard against deception and false teachings.
We can take comfort in the fact that Christ will ultimately defeat the Antichrist and his followers, and we can look forward to the day when we will be with Christ forever.
Let’s be alert to this coming deceiver. We are warned of him: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
It says that people are going to be under a strong delusion and believe a lie.
How are we to avoid being deceived by the coming great antichrist and his counterfeit miracles? Have a love of the truth. That same truth will protect us from the deceptions of the other lesser antichrists.
The Bible tells us of the ultimate overthrow of the Antichrist: 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
